Actress Jung Yu-mi, who was embroiled in malicious rumors related to singer Jung Joon-young, released a statement.

 On the 13th, Jung Yu-mi's agency Star Camp 202 said, "Actress Jung Yu-mi is mentioned in a specific rumor currently spreading through online communities, SNS, and messengers. “I clearly state that all of this is groundless,” he said.

He then said, "It is a very unpleasant situation that the name of the actor is even mentioned in an absurd rumor."

The agency emphasized, "If acts that damage the honor and character of our actors continue, we plan to respond strongly with legal punishment." span>

In addition, he added, "We will take civil and criminal legal action against those who further spread false information or maliciously expand and reproduce false information, without any agreement or leniency." 

Jung Yu-mi also posted "Don't worry, dear" on her SNS.

On the 11th and 12th, through SBS's '8 News', Jung Joon-young distributed an illegally filmed sexual intercourse video in a KakaoTalk chat room with acquaintances, including Big Bang member Seungri. As the fact became known, there were more than 10 confirmed victims in the past 10 months since 2015, which was shocking.

The Metropolitan Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has booked Jung Joon-young on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, etc., and plans to summon him for questioning as a suspect.

Jung Joon-young returned to Korea around 6 PM on the 12th, issued an apology in the early morning of the 13th, and declared cessation of entertainment industry activities.
