The Roofless Museum Busan and Gamcheon Culture Village held the opening ceremony of the ‘5th Gamcheon Culture Village Artists in Residence Group Exhibition’ on the 30th of last month.

The group exhibition scheduled until the 15th of this month features works by resident artists in various fields such as Western painting, textile crafts, printmaking, natural dyeing, and illustration, at the Tower of Dokrak in Gamcheon Culture Village. It was divided into two exhibition halls: Gamnaeoulteo and Gamnaeoulter. 

In Gamcheon Culture Village's 'Exhibition Room 1, Tower of Solitude', artist Mijeong Kim (Indigo and White Porcelain #2) and artist Hyeonmin Yoo (On ​​a Fine Day in October) , you can see about 10 works by artist Eun-seon Jeong (Flower of Flowers, Poppy) and 5 other artists.

In ‘Gamnaeoulteo, Exhibition Room 2’ Appreciate about 18 works by six artists including Park Min-kyung (Agape), Wi Gil-ho (Under Busan Bridge, Asta Chrysanthemum), Tigran Akopyan (Guardian Angel, White Dream), Lee Eun-joo (Oasis Series), and more. You can.

In particular, during this exhibition period, we plan to produce and sell eco-bags containing the artists' works through talent donations from the resident artists, and donate the proceeds to the residents' council. The proceeds will be used for villages suffering from COVID-19.

The Gamcheon Culture Village resident artists who prepared the group exhibition said, “This exhibition “I hope this will be an exhibition that brings a little comfort and emotion to the merchants and residents of Gamcheon Culture Village who quietly protect their livelihood despite the circumstances,” he said.

The group exhibition of Gamcheon Culture Village resident artists is open to all Culture Village residents and visitors to the village for free on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
